Plagiarism detection policy

Panorama UNAB abides by the international standards published by COPE https://publicationethics.org/core-practices, as well as https://publicationethics.org/guidance/guideline/principles-transparency-and-best-practice-scholarly-publishing because its practices are attached to ethics in the field of academic publications.

Similarly, Panorama UNAB makes use of the StrikePlagiarism tool. In the case of a High Level of Similarity or AI content creation, the proposal will be immediately rejected.

Panorama UNAB rejects the use of AI in the Results and Conclusions sections of any research intended to be published, it is necessary that these sections of the manuscript be original human production.

Likewise, based on the Similarity Report and the AI Content Detection Report generated by the tool to the manuscript, an analysis will be made with the editorial team to determine its resolution.

Legal Principle

The Intellectual Property Law of El Salvador protects the author (Article 6) of similarity of text or plagiarism in any of its forms, as they are considered serious offenses, which are penalized in the Criminal Code of El Salvador in Chapter VII Of Crimes related to Intellectual Property (Art. 226-227).
